Getting around

Google Maps has up-to-date information on Stockholm local transport. Tickets for public transportation can be bought in an app/transport card, or (on the spot) by contactless payment. Details here:

Arriving

From Stockholm Arlanda Airport

  • If you're arriving before midnight, we recommend train or bus. Otherwise, we recommend pre-booking a taxi.
  • By train: fastest is Arlanda Express from the airport to Stockholm Central Station (T-Centralen). The train runs every 15-30 minutes and takes about 20 minutes. Price, schedules, and tickets here.
  • By bus: most common is Flixbus, prices and tickets here, Journey to T-centralen around 40 minutes.
  • By taxi: we recommend Taxi Stockholm, prices and pre-order here . Journey takes around 30-40 minutes.
  • Uber also picks up outside arrivals.

From Stockholm Central Station (T-Centralen)

  • Take the Tunnelbana (Subway) Line 14 (Red Line) towards "Mörby centrum" and get off at "Tekniska Högskolan" station, which is the nearest stop to KTH. Journey time: approx. 10-15 minutes

For more information see KTH's information for visitors.

Visa requirements

Sweden is a member of the European Union and the Schengen Area - for EU and EEA citizens, a valid passport or national identity card is sufficient. Citizens from non-EU/EEA countries may require a visa to enter Sweden. For a list of countries that need a visa for Sweden, check here: Swedish Migration Agency - Visa Information.

Print shops

If you want to print your poster in Stockholm, there are many print shops. A (relatively) close one is here OdenLab.

We emphasize that this information is provided without any guarantee. In particular, these shops may be out of stock, unexpectedly closed, etc.

Sightseeing

This page lists places for sightseeing and events in Stockholm. You may also enjoy visiting the Stockholm archipelago or Sweden. Ferry rides from Stockholm to islands in the Archipelago are available, but we do recommend being careful with the schedule. One suggestion is to visit Vaxholm, also available by bus. If you come early, please note that June 6th (Saturday) is the National Day of Sweden - we recommend you check out the celebratory events at Skansen.
